You want to feel better so you can lead a happier, more fulfilled life.
I want to help you live more in tune with your body so you can reconnect with the best, most vibrant, version of yourself.
What if I told you the missing piece to the health and wellness puzzle isn’t available in a trendy diet or superfood tonic – but is innately coded into your very cells and DNA, just waiting for you to tune in and honor it.
Your circadian rhythm. Your hormones. Your hunger and fullness cues. Your monthly moon cycle. The very elements that make us mammals. NATURE.
But right now…
- Your Instagram feed is so polluted with celery juice, ketogenic sweets, and vegan mac and cheese…That you don’t even know what “healthy” means anymore!
- You drink coffee all day to stay awake, and then have to take a sleeping pill to pass out by midnight…And do it all over again the next day.
- Your period is MIA, or you’re so out of touch with your body, it surprises you every month.
You feel disconnected from yourself – mentally, physically, and emotionally.
- You spend all day staring at a screen and can’t remember the last time you disconnected to reconnect with yourself.
- Your mind is always racing but meditation makes it worse -– so you just pour a glass of wine and scroll on Instagram to drown it out.
- You feel unfulfilled at work and know you’re not living your dream, but you’re so drained from the grind you lack the energy to pursue your true passion…
I’ve been there. In fact, I WAS you.
I worked 60+ hours a week for 8 years, tied to a desk in the middle of an office with barely a glimpse out a window. I was so busy climbing the corporate and social ladder in New York City that I didn’t even realize the life I was living wasn’t my own.
Here I was, a girl born and raised outdoors in Colorado, a wild child at heart, getting lost in the glitz and glam of the big city and completely losing sight of who I really was. All the while, sacrificing my health and happiness in the process.
So, I made a concerted effort to reconnect with nature and reclaim who I am at my core.
What I had taken for granted as a child became my purpose in life – living in tune with my body, as nature intended. And helping women like you reconnect with your bodies to thrive in our modern, technology-driven world.
I’m here to show you that living in sync with your body – your daily and monthly cycles, your cravings, hunger and fullness cues, the seasons – is the missing piece to the wellness puzzle. And you don’t need to go live on a farm to reap the benefits, I’ll show you the small changes you can make today, to squeeze more health into your life, even in the concrete jungle.
Hi! I’m Anna, a Registered Dietitian and Integrative Nutritionist, wellness enthusiast, and wild child living in the concrete jungle. I’m here to help you live more in tune with your body and with nature to reconnect with the best version of yourself.
The version of yourself that feels vibrant and inspired, eats intuitively and seasonally, sleeps soundly through the night, and wakes up each day with purpose and drive. All because you’re able to crowd out the external noise and tune in to your body’s innate wisdom. Your hunger and fullness cues, your circadian and infradian rhythm, the seasons, the moon cycles. They are all closely interrelated, and our modern world has taught us to ignore them in favor of convenience, quick fixes, and trends.
It’s time to honor our bodies and live in sync with nature for greater health and happiness.
My Story
A Colorado native living in the Big Apple, I love spending time outside and connecting with nature through hiking, gardening, cooking, and slowing down to enjoy the beauty of life’s everyday joys – I literally always stop and smell the roses, just ask my husband! After receiving my undergraduate degree in Psychology from Stanford, I climbed the corporate ladder for 8 years before realizing the life I was living was not sustainable, healthy, or fulfilling my purpose.
At 30, I made the life-changing decision to go back to school to get my Master’s in Clinical Nutrition from NYU to become a Registered Dietitian so I could help others make sense of the confusing health and wellness landscape overrun with “experts,” trends, and diets.
In the process, I realized how disconnected to nature – and myself – I had become after 10 years of living in New York City and listening to society over my own body’s intuition.
After rediscovering my inner wild child, I now fully understand the importance nature plays in our health and happiness. My seemingly random interests in food, nutrition, fitness, spirituality, mindfulness, sustainability, and nature finally made sense and my purpose was born: to help women live in sync with our body’s natural rhythms and innate needs.
In today’s day and age, we are constantly surrounded by technology and ingrained habits that bring our attention outward, disconnecting us from our own internal cues, intuition, and knowledge. Anyone else reach for their phone approximately 192,384 times a day? Even while watching TV with your computer on your lap? Yep, me too.
For centuries, technology has improved the way we lived and extended the quality and length of life…Until 2016, when life expectancy started declining for the first time in 100 years.
While I am forever grateful for advances in technology and lifesaving western medicine, we’ve reached a tipping point where our dependence on technology is separating us from nature and causing chronic stress and substance abuse that’s shortening our life spans in the process.
I believe the key to health and happiness is living in tune with nature while balancing the fact that we live in a modern world overrun by technology.
Thankfully, the wellness industry has risen to the occasion with endless solutions in every area of interest –– clean eating, fitness, mindfulness and meditation, sustainable living, biohacking, environmentalism, and spirituality, just to name a few.
What do they all have in common? They all have elements that are rooted in nature and can support us in living a life more in tune with nature. They ALL matter. They are ALL crucial for our society, our planet, and our personal health and wellness.
But it can get overwhelming! I’m here to make living in tune with nature accessible and approachable.
We don’t need to live as hermits in the forest or revert back to paleolithic times, we can make small changes every day to align our lifestyle with nature’s wisdom for optimal health, happiness, and well-being.
My Food Philosophy
As a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist, good food is still at the core of what I believe in because it’s literally nature nourishing us from the inside out. If we don’t nourish our bodies, we won’t feel well physically. If we don’t feel well in our bodies, then happiness, kindness, and joy will all seem out of reach.
I believe:
- Good, nourishing food comes from the earth, not a box
- Less is always more when it comes to ingredients
- Our body knows best, we just have to tune in
- The health of our bodies is dependent on the health of the planet
- There’s a place for both Woo Woo and Science at the table
- Nothing compares to the health benefits of time spent in nature
I help you manage the fast-paced lifestyle of city living, the hustle of a career, and the constant contact with technology to create space for something a little unusual: tuning into your body’s innate food wisdom AND reconnecting with the healing power of nature.
By learning how to listen to your body and integrating a bit of nature into your busy, modern life, I believe you can live your best, most vibrant life!
