Looking for a meatless Monday dish? These juicy, tender cauliflower "steaks" are drenched in turmeric and spices and pair perfectly with your favorite green and whole grain for a complete plant-based meal.
Ingredients
1 head of cauliflower
1 tbsp avocado oil
1 tsp turmeric
½ tsp taragon
½ tsp thyme
Salt and pepper to taste
Instructions
Preheat oven to 400
Rinse and dry cauliflower heat
Cut off bottom stem and any surrounding green leaves
Place bottom into dutch oven or baking pan
Drizzle with avocado oil, distributing evenly with a brush or fork
Sprinkle with salt, pepper, turmeric, tarragon and thyme
Bake in oven for 35 minutes with lid or aluminum cover
Remove lid and bake for 10 more minutes, until browned
Cut into “steaks” and serve with your favorite side dish
